i used to be able to toggle between open Pages documents with command-`. apparently, with the catalina and Pages 10.3.9, that went away?
so, how do i toggle between open Pages documents?

The command+back-tick (⌘+`) continues to work between open Pages v10.3.9 document windows on macOS Big Sur 11.2.1. If for some reason this feature has ceased to work for you on Catalina, you can always select the specific opened document from the Pages Window menu, or you can merge the open documents into tabs on Pages and the same Pages Window menu has shortcuts for navigating between Pages tabs.
It didn’t go away, but I’m not sure what would cause it to stop working.
It is a universal shortcut for all apps—does it work on other apps?
Did you change keyboard layouts? That key may not be in the same place.
Pages is the only Apple app i use, so i honestly dont know if it works on other apps.
and yes, i suspected the keyboard layout, so i checked it in System Preferences and its still the US keyboard (i havent ever mucked around with that)....
so its almost like its a Catalina thing?
okay, for the heck of it, i brought up Numbers (for the first time) and created two test documents (spreasheets). the Command-` still doesnt switch documents.
so, this tells me this command which is supposed to be universal for Apple applications on Mac is not working. i checked keyboard layouts and the laptop is using the US version.
ao, again, it seems this command stopped working with Catalina????

Just your Catalina installation, as it worked fine on my Catalina installation from 10.15.0 through the supplements following 10.15.7. Any chance you assigned any services, or App Shortcuts in System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts, or remapped your keyboard in the past with Ukelele, Alfred, or other tool?
This keyboard shortcut works in LibreOffice v7.1, so not limited to Apple applications.

i've checked keyboard shortcuts and there's only 3 and they dont involve the Command-` toggle. so, i decided to create a new shortcut, going thru the steps and still nothing in Pages. its very weird.
its obviously not critical to my quality of life but i did use it fairly often in the past and to have it gone is strange.
they are open in separate windows within Pages.
also, like i mentioned previously the command-` doesnt work in Numbers either. its got to be something with my accessibility or keyboard but i'll be ****** if i can find it...

Pages has never had this shortcut in its Help menu as it is a System control, not a specific application control.

Are they opened in the same window in Tabs? Cmd-` cycles through windows, not tabs in windows.
There are shortcuts (or I made them) for cycling through tabs in a window, ctrl-tab, ctrl-shift-tab.
