Photos has no tool to show us duplicates for removal. You have to track them down yourself and delete them.

It will help to know, how the duplicates have been created. If there is a common pattern, use it, o search specifically for them. And to prevent further duplicates. Normally, there should be no duplicates, as photos is warning us, when we try to import an already imported photo again.


If the duplicates have been created during your last import, you will find them in the Imports album, where the photos are sorted by the date of import.


Which System version is running on your Mac? How are you importing photos to Photos? Are you importing from an iPhone or iPad? Are you using iCloud Photos or My Photo Stream?
