Unable to update my books in the book app

Is anyone having trouble with updating their books in iBooks? I can purchase books but when I try to do updates, it states that itunes are unable download purchases at this time. It’s the same for my iPhone, my iPad , and my iPad Air. I’m thinking there’s an issue with the app. Thanks
