iPhone upgrade problem

hi my name is Jesse and my iphone6 plus is failing to update, i tried doing a software upgrade and after my iPhone verified the update it powered off like it usually does during an update but when i powered it back up it just displayed press home to upgrade and will load but never actually finishes loading and it has been like this for a week now
