No sound from internal speakers but working OK up to yesterday. Internal speakes are selected in Sound. Headphone output works OK as does external USB DAC and Bluetooth connection to external speaker. Beginning to suspect it may be a hardware problem.

Thanks. Everything is OK now. I restarted the computer a couple of times and reselected internal speakers in Sound and that solved it. The SMC Reset is a useful tip though.
