Crypto currency in NUMBERS OSX - looking for ETH (Etherium) value formula

Good day to you,

I am building a spreadsheet for my crypto currency, and I want to find a way to get "realtime" value for the crypto currency Etherium against the US$

I hope that anybody please van tell me why

CURRENCY("ETH";"EUR";price)

is delivering an error?

I have replaced the ";" for "," (common in Europe where I live maybe), but still no succes.

The cell in the spreadsheet is formatted as "currency".

CURRENCY does't recognize "ETH" or "ETH-USD"

However STOCK gives you a price:

=STOCK("ETC-USD",price)

However, you won't be able to get "real-time" or close to real-time prices. Only the previous closing price is available in the data that Numbers gets from Yahoo! Finance.

Not sure what's going wrong. You could try replacing the text 'price' in your formula with 0. Or remove that parameter entirely. You could also open the 'My Stocks' template and study the working formulas there.

Hi SGIII,

Thanks for the tip, but....

I still get a syntax error...

Tried replacing the "," for ";" but also no luck.

Tried "=" in front, no luck...

It's driving me crazy...

What am I missing here...
