Hi, when transferring photos it should also transfer the geo data and date. You may lose past edits to the photos though. (Ie cropping)
Try selecting the photos on the photos app on the Mac and move them to the desktop in one file. Then move the photo file to the usb stick.
Ok, have you tried transferring the photos to the usb stick without leaving the app? In the photos app when the usb is plugged it you should see it in the left corner. Drag the photos to there.
I tried the copy all photos, but I noticed that the last edit date was the date I copied it and not the date it was taken. I remembered in the past you could go and copy the whole album as if its one file. It seems that feature is now gone...
Transferring from an iPhone to a Mac, then onto a USB so my mother-in-law can take it home when she leaves and upload to her album on her machine when she returns home. She has run out of phone space, but doesn't want to purchase additional iCloud storage.
No dice. When I copy to the desktop it has todays date. Same when I copy to usb.... far out. Why did they change this???? I don't use the feature much, but when I needed it, it was great. I didn't lose all the metadata of the photo. And most frustrating thing of all is that I lose the location of where the photo was taken.
It might be, are you transferring from a Mac or iPhone/iPad?
You are welcome, that what we’re here for!
Thanks. I will give it a try.
