My MacBook shuts down after logging in with Mac OS Big Sur. Am I the only one? I'm looking for a solution, please

I'm going to tell you about my odyssey here, for what it's worth. Let's see if any of the moderators can help us, but everything indicates that this is a bug in the latest Mac OS updates.

My computer is a recent MacBook Pro, specifically the 13 'from 2019 with Touchbar. It has been several days since after logging in, after about two seconds and regardless of the battery status, the computer suddenly shuts down (usually after a few hours of inactivity). It is solved by connecting it to the power outlet and disconnecting it. From there it works all day without shutting down. This is something that only happens after login.

Well, I contact the Customer Service department and they help me carry out the corresponding diagnostics (We check the battery status, clear the caches, restart the SMC, among other issues). After all these actions, the same thing happens to me again. I call again and they recommend me to restore the system. After doing this, the problem is not fixed either, so I send the device in for repair as it is still under warranty.

After a few days they return it to me factory restored and they tell me that they have not been able to identify the error. Since it is in Mojave, I update to the latest version of Big Sur and install all the programs I need to function. The error does not take long to appear again. From there, I try to do tests to solve the problem (I delete email accounts, create a new user account, uninstall programs ...) The closures continue to occur in the same way, usually after hours of inactivity.

Fortunately, I have found on this forum a post from users reporting the same error on different computers. Here one user and here another. All are the post of this month.

It is essential to note that in 2019, Apple released a statement to repair this problem, which was apparently very widespread in devices like mine: MacBook Pro 13 'from that same year, version with 128 GB of storage. That statement is no longer available, but numerous state media such as El País or El Confidencial have echoed it. Also, it is a page that is still cached.

It makes me very sad that these things are happening right now. I have always been a great defender of the Apple brand, but my experience has been very negative, both due to the telephone support (long waits, little empathy on the part of the operators) and all this lost time.

I am not a developer, but I am trying to fix an issue that looks like a development bug. I don't know if it will have something to do, but I have checked the console log and I see that there is an error that is repeated a lot (other users of this community have also reported it). The error is the following and I think it has to do with Spotlight. Something that is given in the latest updates:

com.apple.xpc.launchd [1] (com.apple.mdworker.shared.02000000-0200-0000-0000-000000000000 [653]):

Why do we pay customers for this?

I encourage all users who present this problem, to make it public, to see if we can solve it together so that it works normally.

Can a moderator contact Apple to investigate this issue and fix it in future releases? They are expensive equipment and I think that users do not have to suffer these inconveniences.

All the best

Only suggestion to really see what may be happening - there is a Very Good Reputable Community Contributor who have developed and free trial Application called EtreCheck that can be used to examine both Hardware and Software loaded. It does not reveal any personal information and is best used in Full Disk Mode via Security & Privacy Setting and grant full disc access.

The report can be - if one whas real help - post back. One and all can maybe see what is happening and help

The latest Report - Thank you for the double taken. It look good to me except for " Other processes 42.52 % (?) " consuming a great deal of the CPU Plus there is No Time Machine Backup configured.

As for CPU usage - Open the activity Monitor >> View >> View All Processes and check the Tab for CPU looking for a Run away process and do the same for Memory Tab. It may provide clues as to what is chewing all the power
