Backtrack your Locations:

No longer showing up, the best you can do is backtrack your locations. Visit locations were you most lowly at prior to losing these (i.e. if at a retailer, then stop by and see if the M.O.D. (Manager on Duty) put it aside somewhere).

No. The location ages and is eventually forgotten.

Sure. Use whatever information you have to try to locate the AirPods.
