"Macbook Pro" battery ERROR 26 "programmed charge table not in use"

The battery in my 13" 2012 MacBook Pro was getting old. It was charging and preforming with no strange behaviors but its maximum charge was < 80% of original. All tests were fine with no error messages.

So I replaced it with a new battery (manufactured about 1 year ago) that was labeled as made by Apple.

ATV Table tests now give the error message ERROR -- 26[Programmed Charge Table Not In use].

Performance is fine but, even after calibrating battery is seems to charge to a maximum of ~97% of rating despite going through a total of only 2 charge cycles. System Information indicates its condition is normal.

I've looked widely for information on this error but without success.

Can anyone tell me what the AV Table is or the Programmed Charge Table?

many thanks,

MacBook Pro
