Big Sur incompatible with Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe Lightroom Classic

I am getting lots of (usually Green) artefacts on my screen when trying to use either Photoshop CC or Lightroom Classic, LR was so bad I had to uninstall it. I feel Big Sur has been a really big mistake. If there was an easy way to reinstall Catalina where I had no problems I would. The 27" 2019 with 40gb of ram desktop I have in now reduced to aa load of junk. Is there a Solution to this as there seems to be a lot of unsatisfied people with these problems

It is possible that there is an issue with your mac, but it is also possible, and much more likely, that there is a software conflict caused by some third party software modification that is installed on your system.

Those of us who come here to assist you do not know what may be installed on your mac.

Etrecheck is a diagnostic utility developed by a member of this community for the very purpose of letting users know enough about a particular hardware and software setup to be able to give better advice.

It can be downloaded free from the App Store. There is also a paid version, but you do not need to pay to run the report.

After you do that, you can click Share Report, choose Copy, then start a reply here, click the "additional text" button below your message, and paste.

Yes, Photoshop CC load and appears to work EXCEPT the images I am trying to work on are festooned with artifacts which take various forms of dots in clusters of 4 or 5 usually coloured green making it impossible to edit the image. Occasionally the screen will show solid rectangular blocks of red or text will appear as a smudge across the screen. I can only think something has gone wrong in the upgrade from Catalina to BigSur or another fault is appearing. I've only had this machine about a year and live 15 miles from the nearest Apple store which may not even be open now. Certainly my first and last Apple product as I can't afford to replace a system less than a year old. Is it possible to revert back to Catalina. What is Etrecheck?

Thanks for trying to help. Photoshop is the latest and I have aCreative Cloud subscription and it is updated on a regular basis as is Lightroom. At the moment I'm getting the artifacts on all screens where there is a dialogue box. Everything was great until I upgraded to Big Sur and since then it has just been terrible. I don't see anyway out of this unless I can get it to an Apple store or just scrap the system as it is pretty useless to me as a photographer. At least with my Windows PC I can change anything that goes wrong.

Best Regards

Stan
