Can't load macOS Big Sur

I have an iMac and I can't upload the latest macOS Big Sur. Is there a reason? I did buy my Mac in 2010. Is that the reason?

iMac 27″, OS X 10.11

Yes. Big Sur requires a 2014 or later iMac.
