Mini Homepod

How do you fix the error message “setup error (301009)” on a mini HomePod? I have four in my office and none of them are working. I have removed them from the Home app and manually reset them. I keep getting the error message when I try to set them up on the iPad again. I have also tried to set them up with an iPhone and the same thing keeps happening.

If I recall this error is caused when you have access point/client/wireless isolation/security enabled, which gives devices on a Wi-Fi network access to the internet but hides them from each other. HomePod needs to be able to see your other devices such as your iPhone in order to support AirPlay. Your IT department likely wants to keep any devices you might bring to work isolated from the business network. This is a good security practice. I have a private isolated Wi-Fi network in my office as a workaround.
