iPad Air 3 screen frequently freezes up and iPad becomes unresponsive for several minutes

My iPad air3 screen frequently freezes up. I force restart and it’s fine for a while. Today I tried to turn it on after being plugged into the charger. The screen remained black. I tried swiping, tapping and even pushed buttons, I heard some sounds and so I kept swiping and tapping, etc. the screen finally lit up. It required my password. This began happening after the latest software update. What can I do now?

This screen freezing and screen unresponsiveness is a known and long-standing issue here in these iPad support communities.

Contact Apple support via the contact support link located at the upper right hand corner of every Webpage of these Apple support communities OR by installing and using the Apple Support app found in the iOS App Store.

If you can, if no real resolution/s to this from initial Apple support employees, be courteous, but I urge you to keep pushing this issue up higher ranks of Apple support personnel.

This has been a long standing issue that has still not been figured out or solved by Apple and it needs to be pushed up to higher level tiers of much higher level, engineering level Apple support personnel.

Best of Luck to You!
