in Numbers: one cell's data is schewed to the bottom of the cell as compared to most cells, but I can't see a setting that will change the cell to match the other. This is mixed within my spreadsheet.
You can select a cell whose formatting you like, Copy Style , then Paste Style into the cell that's not how you like. I have those two commands as icons on the toolbar but they are also in the Format menu.
If that doesn't fix it, it may not be a style/format problem.

Option-command-C will copy the style without copying the content.
Option-command-V will paste the style without disrupting the content.

If the Font is the same for all the cells,
you might check the content of the cell for:
Format>Text>Layout>Text Inset (= 4 by default).

This was very helpful. The inset was set to 4, but the most of the other cells were set to 2. therefore, there were these differences in appearance that I could not figure out. thank you
