I was able to follow all steps in How to create a bootable installer for macOS successfully but installer could not finish: "Volume contain macOS or OS X Installation media."
I hit restart and get a forbidden symbol (circle with a line across). Can anyone help, please?

Thank you. It finally worked. I had to use a bootable external drive because the Mac Mini's drive was dead (corrupted). All is good. Thanks!
