I locked two notes. I only ever used a fingerprint to access these notes. My iPhone does not now give me the option to use the fingerprint and wants a password which I am sure I never set. Is there any way I can get into these notes without a password?

That is not possible. A password is required to lock the notes.

Wirhout that password, the notes can never be retrieved.
