Defective 12 max pro front camera

Hi! Just bought 12 max pro, the 4th day front camera stopped working as well as faceiD. Went through support and apple service provider. Hardware issues. Told to hand in and send back to Apple, replacement will take up two weeks. Issue is, can apple just send in the replacement and I keep on using the phone until it arrived?

Contact Apple directly and see if they will offer Express service. It would require a credit card and a hold for the full retail price until the defective one is returned. Not sure if they do this with a new exchange (usually a warranty replacement thing) but you can ask
