Remove virtual microphone and speaker on MacOS

Hi. I have installed Background music and other applications that change your sound and then pass it through a virtual device. That worked fine. But now I don't want to use them anymore and I have deleted the apps (via AppCleaner). Unfortunately The devices are still there and I would like to delete them. Its not only for aesthetic reasons since the background music one always gets prioritized in tools like jitsiMeet.

you can see the devices in the following screenshots:

Thanks for reaching out, JGStyl3.

It looks like you've installed some third-party apps, and after using them for a while, you want to remove them. We can help.

You mentioned that you used AppCleaner to remove them the first time around, but the uninstall was incomplete. Try following these steps in Install and uninstall apps from the internet or disc on Mac to see if you are able to remove them manually.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, have you checked with the developers of these apps for documentation on how to uninstall their services? If not, that would be a terrific place to start, as they might need to be uninstalled in a particular way.

Let's give those steps a try, and let us know how it goes.

Take care.
