Hello There,

I managed to solve this - it looks like a User Profile gets inserted in your configuration profile.

The one I found was called "ActivityInput"

How do I find my user profile on Mac?

View an installed configuration profile

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Profiles. If you haven't installed any

  1. configuration  profiles, Profiles preferences isn't available.
  2. Select a profile in the Profiles list to view information about it.

If one has been set up, you can remove it.

Then I rebooted my MAC - the ActivityInputd Popup appeared - I clicked on it a couple of time- then it has gone away.

I found Safari and Chrome and my Email still did not work - This was due a Proxy been set under "System Preferences"

Network -> Advanced Button -> Proxies Tab - I unclicked a SOCKS proxy. Then everything now works.

Have not rebooted a second time yet to make sure - the problem has permamamently gone away.

BTW - Firefox still worked despite this problem.

Thanks and Regards
