Startup Security Utility (SSU) - Big Sur- Mac mini M1

When already in Recovery mode, trying to start the Startup Security Utility.

I'm informed that I have to restart and hold the power button to start up macOS recovery.

Is it not allowed to change the security settings profile after 11.2.1.

I know that I changed the security profile just a month ago, so this must be related to the latest release

or a policy change

Best regards

Greetings P-G!

Looks like you are having some trouble with running the Startup Security Utility in recovery mode on your Mac. We can certainly understand wanting to get that feature working and are happy to help! Did you boot into recovery mode with Command (⌘)-R after pressing the power button? There are a few different options to get into recovery mode so we just want to be sure. Were you ever asked to authenticate your User credentials when attempting to use that feature? This article outlines the process: About Startup Security Utility.

Have a great rest of your day!
