Storage on Apple Watch

I have an apple watch series 3 I’m suppose to have 8 GB and I only have 4.1 GB how is that possible

Where are you checking this information, and do you have any content synced to your Watch? If you go to the Watch app on the iPhone and check General>About, what does the capacity show? Is this a new Series 3 Watch?
