How do I switch to my iPad speaker instead of using monitor speaker when connecting using a USB C to HDMI cable?
The iPad seems to always prioritised output signal to external audio device such as HDMI monitor with speaker when using USB C to HDMI cable.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. As we understand it, your iPad Pro is connected to a speaker using a cable and you want to know if you can adjust audio settings to output through your iPad Pro speaker instead; is that right?
If so, that you describe sounds like normal behavior. When your device is connected to an audio cable, it's normal for the audio output to be routed using that cable. While there's not a setting that controls this, you can always send your suggestion directly to Apple: Product Feedback
