sharp edge and uneven gap in airpod pro

got this at a discounted price from an online retailer.

even a a-few-dollar consumer electronic piece of junk (made by another company) will have this quality bar to reject devices with sharp edge and large gap where two piece of plastic meets together, per my experience working in electronic manufacturing factories on production lines.

I can not understand why a 200-buck Apple product will allow such product get shipped after cosmetic check at production line.

Am I getting a fake product? A quick search revleals similar issues reported 2/3 years ago and the only viable suggestion is to bear with it (and get the Apple brand ruined in my heart) or replace it (if within 15 days.)
