How to open/add a invite.ics file to iCloud Calendar , using Chrome Web Browser ( without downloading the file to my PC)

HI there , I use my iCoud Mail on my windows pc in Chrome web browser, Everytime I get a calendar event that i need to add to my icloud calender - the Chrome browser forces me to download the .ics file.

Then I get a prompt to to open the .ics file with a specific windows default application ie outlook or whatever other email client app 'Mail" ... which is not what i want to do.

Is there a way whereby Chrome can open the .ics file in the icloud calendar app in the iCloud web browser application?

I dont want to download it as i dont use a windows outlook client application or windows mail application?

Windows, Windows 10
