For some reason, when pressing Shift + 1, I can't type an exclamation point at all. I can still type other symbols, like $ and #, but it's just the exclamation mark symbol that won't work. I've restarted my Mac, updated it to Big Sur 11.2.1, and it still happens.
Currently on Big Sur 11.2.1
On a MacBook Air ( 2020 M1 )
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.1
Have you Enabled something in System Preferences >> Keyboard >> In the Tabs along top look for Shortcuts and see if Shift ! us being used for something else
Does nothing at all happen when you type Shift 1? Or do you get some other character?
If nothing happens, it sounds like this may have become a trigger for some feature. Check your preferences for Accessibility and speech functions.
I don't know how, but it suddenly started working again! Well, at least I can type an exclamation mark without having to copy and paste it!
Nope, just checked and it's not being used for anything else
Nothing happens at all when I press shift 1, I also just checked and it isn't using any Accessibility function.
