Is there a fix for my MacBook screen? It looks dirty but it is not, it is all mottled and difficult to use in sunlight

Sounds like a case where the anti-reflective coating is peeling off...

Thank you - - this was the problem. This was confirmed by Apple Support, and they offered a $500 fix since my MacBook was out of warranty. . . um, no. I found two youtubers recommending Listerine to remove the anti-reflective coating and . . . it worked!! I have a beautiful new screen, and found a use for that old bottle of Listerine.
