How to create or download a valid install Yosemite for vmWare hosted in Catalina

I'm sorry for my imperfect english.

I need to work with FCP7 to convert my long time project started and developed from 2014 on Macbook pro of 2015 with now is unusuable.

I hope to install Yosemite (or other osx to install correctly my FCP7) in a virtual machine of VmWare Fusion 12 running in Catalina.

To create a virtual machine (wich is authorized by apple and compatible with osx that I need) is needed osx installation app of Yosemite or Capitain.

How is possible to download or correctly create the app using my Catalina system valid to creatig Virtual machine?

Thanks for response.

Both 2014 and 2015 machines if you still have them can have Yosemite installed through the internet recovery, and if you have sufficient disk space to run a partition or an external hard disk.

Internet recovery is command-option-shift-R.

Some 2014 machines will only run Mavericks through Internet recovery but can be upgraded to Yosemite using the download on this page:

Yosemite is licensed software, and as such any directions for putting it on a virtualized engine would violate terms of use of this forum.

That said, if you need something that runs only in Yosemite, get a machine that runs Yosemite through the refurbished marketplace.

Both http://www.dvwarehouse.com/ and http://www.macsales.com/ have excellent refurbished machines.

Note Yosemite will run on any Mac that is compatible with 10.8 to 10.10.5
