IPad Pro - unresponsive touch - tried all the hints, they don’t work

So I am just checking in to see if there are any new news from Apple regarding the touch screen issue with the iPad Pro?


I am out of warranty of course.


I’ve been reading along for quite some time and see post after post with the issue. Change this setting, change that setting, soft reset, hard reset, no screen protector and on and on. I’ve actually done everything posted over time...nothing changes. The screen still is unresponsive, slow, skips, letters when typing - however you may want to describe it. Annoying as anything when typing a document then going back to read and seeing 1/2


So before I jump ship to the S7 Tab Plus....I was hoping to see if any new news has come out? Since I currently have an expensive frisbee right now...ugh.

As far as am aware, Apple STILL has NOT found a cause or solution to this issue afrer well over two years!

It has NOT been apparent to me whether, during this whole Co-Vid lockdown, if any of Apple's engineering staff were even still looking into this working from home, or not.


Contact Apple support via the contact support link located at the upper right hand corner of every Webpage of these Apple support communities OR by installing and using the Apple Support app found in the iOS App Store.

If you can, if no real resolution/s to this from initial Apple support employees, be courteous, but I urge you to keep pushing this issue up higher ranks of Apple support personnel.

This has been a long standing issue that has still not been figured out or solved by Apple and it needs to be pushed up to higher level tiers of much higher level, engineering level Apple support personnel.

It sounds like you’ve done some extensive troubleshooting to try and find a resolution, but you’re still seeing some unresponsiveness or false input. We’re curious to learn more to see if we can help you determine the root cause of the issue and hopefully find some relief. 


If you’re interested in investigating with us, tell us about the resets that you have already performed. We’ve noticed the term can be generic for different processes, and each process for your iPad has a different impact on your iPad in one way or another. For example, did you restart, force restart, reset settings at Settings > General > Reset? If so, which ones? Have you had a chance to connect it to a computer and reinstall the iPadOS software to see if it helps? We don’t want to ask you to try something you may have already tried.


Unresponsiveness and delayed typing like this can be related to other underlying issues, too. 


- How much available space do you have at Settings > General > iPad Storage?

- Have you had a chance to work with Apple Support to learn about the health of your iPad battery?

- What if you connect an external keyboard? Does the typing issue continue?


We know you need to be able to rely on your iPad for more, and we’d love to dive into this with you.
