Itunes prompting authorization on PC to play songs for a computer already authorized

When trying to play some songs on my PC iTunes is asking for authorization. Following the prompt I try to authorize the song, after the prompt Itunes tells me that the computer has previously been authorized and has now been reauthorized, and the amount of authorizations is 3 out of 5.

My apple ID has never changed for as long as I've had it (a looong time). I have tried uninstalling Itunes and reinstalling, removing the sc info file and restarting, removing the song and redownloading it, deauthorizing the computer and reauthorizing. I'm not sure what else there is to try. This is a new issue as it's never had a problem playing these songs before. Any help much appreciated.

Repeated requests to authorize an already authorized computer for store downloads typically indicates you have corrupt or incomplete copies. Delete the tracks that won't play from your library without hiding from your purchase history. Redownload using the cloud links that should remain, or close iTunes and reopen if they don't show up straight away. While downloading click the activity widget and turn off the option that allows for simultaneous downloads.
