Old Hotmail account for iCloud

Once created and verified, an AppleID remains in effect and is useable even if the email address is no longer in use. Of course it’s always better to edit the AppleID and change the email address to a working one so Apple can still reach you with it. But as long as you know the AppleID password, it is still an effective AppleID.
