Watching Video on Fullscreen

So I’ve been trying to watch video on fullscreen, but it’s not covering the whole screen. There are black borders and when I zoom to fill it cover the video just enough to hide subtitles or important parts of a video.

Ive tried everything from restarting to updating IOS and hasn’t worked for me

Problem is on iPhone 11 PRO

Hello veselin210,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand you're unable to watch videos on your iPhone 11 Pro in full screen. We'll be happy to help.

Are you unable to view videos in full screen from recorded videos in the Photos app, watching movies or shows from the iTunes Store, or through a third party application? Black borders for videos can appear based on the format of the video you're watching. For example, some movies from the iTunes Store can have black borders as it provides video format in 4K, HDR and more: Find movies with 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, or Dolby Atmos in the Apple TV app

Recorded videos from the Photos app are able to go in full screen in landscape mode: Rotate the screen on your iPhone or iPod touch

Best regards.
