Picture in Picture feature not working on iPhone 13

Hey y’all, just got my new iPhone 13. Everything has been going great. One problem I e had is the Picture in Picture feature doesn’t seem to work. When I’m watching a video on YouTube, if I press the little pop out button in the top left, the video will pop out for a moment, before returning to the original screen size. If I swipe up and return home, the video will pop out for a moment before disappearing. Sorry if this explanation is a little weird. Any way to get it working?
