Picture in Picture not working

I am already with ios14. When i go to the youtube.com from safari and click the pip icon or double tap with two fingers then i can see picture in picture open and instantly close within 1 second or less. How can i fix this? Please! Iphone7

Youtube picture in picture stopped workinf after update (iPad) Hello there, i used to love the feature of the ipad where i could open my youtube app, and then go back to the homescreen WHILE the youtube video would minimize to the bottom right corner of the ipad. after a software update, it does not happen anymore. I also cannot find anything in the settings to enable it. What happened?

That’s not Apple. YouTube shut that down. You can only do it that way if you’re a premium member now..
