I can’t find the files for Minecraft on my Mac

On my Mac I can’t find the files for Minecraft it never downloaded because when I went to install a mod I could not find the mod file and I did .Minecraft and typed in mods apple fix this

Minecraft is not an Apple product. If you are having issues with Minecraft, contact the developer.

It appears that since it is a Java based software, you may need to check your Java version to ensure it is compatible.

Open Finder. Then click the “go” tab on the top bar of your screen. Then press ALT. It should come up with your “Library Folder” Click on Library and then find the Folder called Application Support and open it. If Minecraft is installed there should be a folder in there called Minecraft. If you run Minecraft with Forge it will automatically make a folder called mods in the Minecraft folder.
