menu bar does not show unless i hover over it!

i just updated to 11.2.2, i think it was fine in the beginning but i noticed the menu bar was not showing, only if i hover over it (, the dock is normal)

Menus instead of action? It seems nearly every time I click on the + to add a new tab, or on the Forward or Reverse buttons, or on apps in the Dock, instead of just doing any of those actions, I get instead a dropdown menu!! I just want the new tab to open, or to go back to the previous one, forward to the next one, or the app I clicked on, to just open!! And sometimes clicking doesn't register, or grabbing the side rails won't move the position of the screen, or scrolling won't happen! The Dock and FCPX? Last year I complained that I was getting irritated by the way the hidden Dock kept popping up accidentally when my cursor unintentionally went too far below the timeline in FCP X. A number of solutions were suggested but eventually I decided to keep the icons small and visible at all times. Today I decided to try hiding the dock but when I moved my cursor to the bottom of the screen it did not appear. This baffled me for several minutes until I discovered that the cursor needs to be at the bottom of the screen for 3 seconds in order for the dock to appear. Can this timing delay be altered?

oh wow, thanks for telling me! i was making some changes and enabled this option by mistake and i did not realise since it was at the bottom of the list, thanks!
