Ipad pro 2020 bend issues lead to charging issues for Apple Pencil 2

I purchased my ipad pro 2020, 12.9’’ in November 2020. It still has the warranty. I am using it at my home for online teaching. I am very pretty sure that it has not fallen down, and also no pressure has been put on it.

It has now been bend and it is not much obvious to see that if its bend. It is a slight bend.

Due to this bend my Apple pencil is not charging. The screen just shows that it’s charging but there no percentage increase in charging.

The pen is all ok.

Can I claim the warranty for my ipad pro 2020.

If you paid for the extended two-year AppleCare+ warranty plan, you can make a claim and pay a small device replacement fee for another iPad Pro replacement.

IF your iPad ONLY has the free, standard, limited, one year manufacturers AppleCare ( NO + sign ) warranty, then this bend damage is NOT covered.

Unless you can prove to Apple/Apple employees that the bend is a manufacturing defect and not accidental/incidental damage caused by use or user damage, it will NOT be covered by the free, one-year limited warranty.

Search online to locate and call contact your nearest, “local” Apple Store location to try/attempt to make an appointment to get your Apple iPad Pro inspected and options given.

OR, failing that,

Contact Apple support via the contact support link located at the upper right hand corner of every Webpage of these Apple support communities OR by installing and using the Apple Support app found in the iOS App Store.
