Locked disk on MacBook pro

I am attempting to factory reset my MacBook Pro. But I’m stuck right here. How do I unlock this desk?

You cannot install macOS to a recovery partition which is why you are having problems finding a valid destination for the install. For some reason the main boot macOS boot partition is not shown. You need to launch Disk Utility and run First Aid on the drive to see if the file system needs to be repaired assuming you want to reinstall macOS over top of itself.

If you want to perform a clean install of macOS, then you need to first use Disk Utility to erase the whole physical drive as GUID partition and MacOS Extended (Journaled) before selecting the "Install macOS" option.
