Problem when exporting titles in FXP

So, I have a project of 4 min in which I have a clip of 10 seconds where I included 9 titles to the same clip. I have exported it multiple times and every time they export in a position I didn't put them in (see pics below). I'm using an original title that came with FXP. I have tried to make them separately, copied them, making them in a compound clip, exporting them separately, changing the position in the text inspector and the video inspector, and I get the same results.

Additionally, now that I tried to move the titles from the video inspector the whole video moves, not only the title and I have only the title selected.

I have used this title and other multiple times in similar ways and even more complex videos and this had never happened.

Its so annoying and frustrating and I would really appreciate if someone can help me out :(

This is how I have them set:

This is how they export:

This suggests that the title was exported from Motion with a "title background" layer. Not many titles in FCP work that way, but again, we need to know the exact title you are using. Select one, and see what the Inspector says. Without precise information it is very hard to assist.

I have an adjustment layer below these and a couple of shape generators, no animation other than the one that the title has preset. So nothing that should be affecting them, everything is below. The primary line doesn’t even have a transition or effect.

I’m not sure if the fact that they are lower thirds affects their placement, even after I have moved them and they moved, as they should. They just reverse to that position after the export.

I've tried everything I know how to make this break. When I restart FCPX, it takes about a minute for the titles and effects to load and while this process is ongoing, the titles appear to be in their default condition, after which they return to the positions I had placed them in for this test — so still not broken.

I did, however, find that some of the published parameters have a "phantom" rig -- A rig widget that the designers used to engineer some of the properties of this title (then deleted to hide it). These can be unpredictable. I eliminated those parameter and redesigned some of the title.

You can download a copy here:

https://fcpxtemplates.com/downloads/

If you need help installing this, see https://fcpxtemplates.com/installing-plugins-for-fcpx/

You will probably want to create a Category folder named "Social" if one does not already exist in the install location.

How the Mod version is different:

I deleted the original Title Size parameter and replaced it with a straight access to the text Size (much more flexibility).

The alignment (Title Layout) is now relative to the width of the text and not previous "paragraph layout".

There are now options to customize the width and height of the "backplate".

There is a Position parameter (for exact placement and/or animating the position).

You can position the title just like before - click and drag the text wherever you want.

This version should very closely match the original "out of the box". Replacing the older versions should be easy.

Hope this solves your problem.

It looks like I was right, and you are using the "Lower Third News" title from the Social category.

As I expected, this is a title that has "background title" layer, so if you scale the title, or move it, it affects whatever is in the background - potentially other titles, so this quickly becomes messy.

You should probably use a different title.

If you otherwise like the title, and you have Motion, you can quickly create a modified version that does not affect the background. Control-click the title in the Browser, choose Open a Copy in Motion. Save As... with a nice new name and category. Delete the "Title Background", and Save.
