The current version, 5.5, is a "universal application". This means that it compiled for the Apple Silicon Macs, as well as Intel Macs.

In other words, it run native in an M1mac.


I don't know if there are any optimizations specifically for the M1 Macs, but if what you are asking is whether it runs natively, the answer is yes.
