face id iphone xs

Face id stopped working. Rebooted many, many times. No 'alternative face id' pops up in face id & password. When I click on set up face ID it never gets past the page to continue on 'position your face within the frame'. I have good light and nothing is blocking the camera.

I tried resetting my FaceID but it keeps telling me to Position My Face Within The Frame, which I am doing but it doesn't recognize that it's a face or something. Not sure what to do from here.

Face ID Stopped Working Recently I have noticed that the Face ID feature for my IPhone XS has stopped working. I have tried to reset it, but it won’t go any farther than the direction “Put your face in the frame”. My phone does have a minor crack over the camera, however I’ve had that for a while and my Face ID still worked after it cracked, so I don’t think that is the problem. I have also tried resetting my phone and then trying to reset the Face ID, but that didn’t work either.

Face ID is not Available After e recent iOS update on iPhone X Face ID stopped working all of a sudden. Whenever I try to set Face ID I get to the screen that opens the camera and says "Position your face" and then it says "Face ID is not Available, Try setting Face ID later". Also the problem shows in the front camera, specifically in Portrait Mode it keeps saying: "Move farther away" and is also very dim compared to the regular photo mode. I tried resetting the settings, factory resetting the device and even full iTunes restore. Any ideas what could be causing this?

If the TrueDepth camera is unobstructed and any case you might be using is not blocking the camera, and there’s no add-on protective film over the display, contact Apple Support using the Get Support in the upper right, and discuss your options and alternatives.
