Importance of the bin mailbox under 'On My Mac' in Apple Mail?

Hi,

I am using Apple Mail to access my university emails.

However there seem to be two Bin mailboxes - one if them contains emails that I have actually deleted from my Inbox, but the other one, which is underneath a section called 'On My Mac', does not contain anything, so is it ok to delete this one?
