Imported an old inbox in Apple Mail to search for a deleted message.
It was imported to "On My Mac" and not to an IMAP account.
I select the folder, click on "Delete mailbox" but it doesn't delete.
How do I get rid of it?

Did you Control Click on the mailbox—>
Create or delete mailboxes in Mail on Mac - Apple Support
if no resolve try SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support
login and try again ...
