Big Sur Compatibility list
Why MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2012) is not compatible with BigSur?... MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) is and HW is not that different, right?

Hello, I’ve already checked that list. Question is: mid 2012 was included in when Big Sur was deployed. I just didn’t start the update since I was waiting for HW compatibility announcements from other manufactures. Now I cannot update anymore and I was wondering why, since my MacBook specs are not so different from 2013 version, and besides, it was included in the first Big Sur version notifications list.
Not sure where you think you read Big Sur was compatible with a 2012 MacBook Pro but here is an article from June 22, 2020 that states it isn't.
