I just ordered a refurbished Apple desktop (2019). Can I use my existing wireless keyboard and mouse (2012)?

Just be aware that you will need to


  1. unpair them from the old one and

2. pair them with the new Mac and, in order to do that, you will need a wired keyboard/mouse (buy one or borrow from a neighbor or friend) so you can set it up to the point where you can get to the System Preferences > Bluetooth in order to pair them.


If you buy a new Mac with the keyboard/mouse, they are paired at the factory. Your refurbished one won't be or did you order it from Apple? Not sure if they include one.
