Apply pay mac cannot add Scotiabank visa debit card

I am living in Canada and all my devices are set to Canada region. The mac system tells me I cannot add my debit cards (tried BMO and Scotiabank) to apple pay in macos when I add the card to my 2019 macbook pro, which has the same apple ID with iPhone/apple watch and purchased in Canada. I add the same cards in both iphone and watch and both devices both work well when visiting local stores. I never tried to add any credit card to mac because I don't have one. I called my banks and they all say there are no restrictions of apple pay apply on my cards.

I am wondering if anyone encountered the same experiences as me.

Thank you

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Hello

Signing out of Apple ID doesn't works at all since I already have exact same problem of my iPad and I've erase my iPad before for some other reason and it turns out that this problem still exist now, and I also cleaned install the MacBook to factory state last month.

I am sure that the option of allow pay in Mac is activated. Nevertheless, I think in MacBook with Touch ID can only use the card in the wallet of MacBook.

By the way, I've tested the debit card number in Mac wallet by replace each set of card number with some other numbers, and I found that it's my second set of 4-digit number that doesn't accepted: as soon as I change this specific set of number the system no longer tells me that the card is not acceptable.

try signing out of your Apple ID on the Mac with the issue. If you have all the cards in your Wallet on iPhone and you are using the same Apple ID on the Mac it should show up. on iPhone when you go to setting>Wallet & Apple Pay>is there an option to allow payments on Mac?
