Apple ID Log in issue with iPhone 8 Upgrade to iPhone 11

I was upgrading from iPhone 8 to iPhone11. The data transfer over Bluetooth went smoothly but it said my messages were downloading from iCloud x I needed to log into iMessages. My Apple ID wld not work with my current email x password. So I signed out of my iPhone 8 x removed it x then was able to reset my Apple ID on iPhone 11 with the same email address but a different password. However it still says I need to update my Apple ID on my iPhone 11 but it just says continue but doesn’t update x messages are still downloading from iCloud. Shld I try x reset Settings? Please reply ASAP am really fed up. Cheers Jen008

Many thx Eric as turning my iPhone 11 off x on again seemed to work as it accepted my new PW. Hve noticed that you also hve to press one of the volume buttons with the right hand button to power the iPhone 11 off whereas with iPhone 8 U only had to use the right hand button to turn it off. I tried to turn my iPhone 11 off x on again last nite x cos it wldn’t let me I thought it was still maybe transferring data. Anyway it seems to be ok now. Cheers Jen008
