Using a mid 2011 27 inch imac as a second monitor for a 2020 27 inch imac

I have seen about every how-to video on this process and have not been able to get my 27" imac mid 2011 to be a second monitor for my 27" imac 2020. I have the correct cables, original keyboards, correct OS - nothing seems to work ... any ideas??

How can I hook up a second monitor to my iMac 24 inch I recently bought a new iMac 24 inch and I would like to set up a second monitor with it. I have tried to plug in a second 2012 iMac and hit Command F2 but nothing happens. This would work before with my 2019 iMac. Using iMac Mid 2011 as second monitor for my iMac 2020 Hello all, I've been trying to find a way to use my iMac mid 2011 as second monitor for my newly bought iMac 2020. I bought the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adaptor and the Thunderbolt Cable (All from Apple), and they DO NOT work! I don't know what wrong with it? I even tried pressing command +F2, restarting all my computers, and they still don't work. Anyone's having same problem? I need some help.

Sorry, but the 2020 iMacs are not compatible with Target Display Mode.
