Forced Headphone Notifications

I recently purchased an iPhone 12 Pro Max about two weeks ago. Since then I’ve been receiving headphone safety notifications that say “Volume should be turned down”.


I no longer wished to receive these notifications so I followed apples support article that said to go to settings > sounds and haptics > headphone safety and then to toggle it off. Well I have no such option on this device. It only shows a graph.


I then contacted your support staff and they informed me that these notifications are MANDATORY on all new devices?? So on a device I paid over $1000 for I have to be force fed notifications every hour telling me to turn the volume down? Please tell me this is a joke.


I live in the United States and there are no such laws that would prevent me from turning something like this off. Please tell me the support staff was incorrect.
