When I try to install Mojave on my Late 2012 Mac Mini, I get the following message: This copy of the Install macOS Mojave application is damaged, and can't be used to Install macOS. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Thanks to both dialabrain and P.Phillips. I have been able to download the Mojave update from Safe Mode and install it. One thing to mention to anyone reading this thread - when booting in safe mode, you should first disconnect any remote devices - hard drives, printers, backup drives. With those connected, the boot locks up and won't complete.

Just tried while running on Catalina from earlier posting and it worked fine. It Must be opened in Safari redirected and opened the Apple Apps Store. The Get button presented in Store and starts to download - no error message you are experiencing.
Have verifies and yes the MacMini 2012 or newer qualifies

Delete "Install macOS Mojave" from the Applications folder then try downloading again while in Safe Mode.

Based on dialabrain's response, I checked the Application folder and the Install macOS Mojave app is there, with a size of 6.03 GB. So am I good to continue with the bootable installer approach?

You're welcome. Glad it worked. FWIW, personally I've never had to disconnect all peripherals but I've heard of a few cases where it helped.
